Our Hosts

Matt Maggiacomo is the host of the weekly segment, "City by Subway" for NBC's New York Nonstop, the city's only 24/7 neighborhood news and lifestyle channel. As a student at NYU, Matt was President and Founder of Delta Lambda Phi, the university's first social fraternity for gay, bisexual, and progressive men. After a summer slinging drinks in the Fire Island Pines, Matt began his professional broadcast career as an NBC Page. These days, Matt can be found reporting on the best culture, nightlife and events that New York City has to offer, or holding court as the party host at popular NYC nightspot, G Lounge.

Maria Chambers is one of VH1’s hottest radio personalities, currently hosting their nationally syndicated Best Week Ever radio show. In addition to being Program Director of VH1’s Satellite Radio station (which was carried on XM for 4 years), Maria was also the on-air talent for VH1 and Westwood One’s live broadcast of The Concert for New York City, carried in every major market nationwide, in more than 13 countries, online and on Armed Forces radio. On television, Chambers narrated the VH1 series Don’t Quote Me and had a recurring role on ABC’s All My Children. She is also the character voice of Toni, the prostitute, in the Grand Theft Auto video game series.

Maria on coming out… “I was a late lezzy bloomer. For 10 years I had been well aware that I was gay, but instead of coming out of the closet, I just kept pulling girls in with me.”

Jesse Archer is an actor and freelance writer who has appeared in the Off-Broadway hit Birdy’s Bachelorette Party and on film in Boy Culture. Jesse also starred in gay romantic comedy favorites such as A Four Letter Word, which he co-wrote. Jesse freelances a monthly column for Out magazine as well as featured articles for Gay List Daily. He published his first book, You Can Run, in 2007, and in 2008, landed a spot as one of the elite Out 100 – an annual list of the year’s most interesting, influential, and newsworthy LGBT people.

Jesse’s philosophy on life… “If you’re not sparkling, what are you doing?”
