Civilians and celebrities converge on West Hollywood to protest the court decision
Thousands took to the streets of West Hollywood after Prop 8 was upheld by the California courts. Celebrity supporters such as Drew Barrymore and George Takei showed up to speak out and be seen. Set list met the D-list when Lance Bass walked with Kathy Griffin down Santa Monica Blvd. And Griffin's mother didn't balk at the long march through West Hollywood -- she rolled up in a wheelchair. Perez Hilton, Kelly Osbourne and her fashion model-fiance, Luke Worrall, came out in full "NO H8" war paint to throw their support behind the demonstration for marriage equality. tmmoney: Of course, in West Hollywood you are preaching to the choir. You need organize like with Obama and start going door-to-door in other areas like Anaheim, Ventura, Santa Monica, Irvine etc. and other places not already saying 'let gays marry'.
