Slopes and Gropes: OSTV’s Gay Ski Week – Report #4

What’s a trip to Aspen Gay Ski Week without a cocktail? It's like Johnny Weir without a sparkly onesie. In today’s installment, we hit the bar. Our friends David Fudge and the FIP snow bunnies know where the boys are. No hot toddies for these fellas. Instead, it’s ‘Ted Tini’ time! Come on, it’s cocktail hour some place!

The Ted Tini (recipe from Aspen bartender of the Limelight Lodge)

* Fill martini glass with ice and leave on bar to chill

* Fill shaker half full of ice (preferably smaller cubes)

* Quickly pour into shaker 2 1/2 oz. (4 count) of Cherry Svedka Vodka and a large splash of orange juice

* Shake fast and hard (not just because it's sexy, but because you want yummy ice flakes floating in your ‘tini)

* Pour mixture into chilled martini glass and top with club soda

* Garnish with lime or maraschino cherry by running around the rim for that finishing touch!

Slopes and Gropes: OSTV’s Gay Ski Week – Report #3

Another day, another update from Aspen Gay Ski Week. In today’s segment, our friends David Fudge and the FIP Boys (who created that hilarious Miley Cyrus parody) are getting all warm and fuzzy. And no, we’re not talking about the bears in the hot tubs. We’re talking fur. The kind that makes PETA members mad, but makes some wealthy gay boys oh so happy on those cold, wintry slopes. No FIP boy was harmed during the making of this video…

Slopes and Gropes: OSTV’s Gay Ski Week – Report #2

It’s that time again, folks. Time for another update for Aspen Gay Ski Week. In today’s report, our friends David Fudge and the FIP Boys (who created the Miley Cyrus Parody  that's been viewed over 3 million times) are at the Drag Downhilll. It’s the annual costume contest that pits creativity against the ability to safely ski down a mountain. Not even freezing temps are enough to stop the body painted skier! Check it out….

The long, difficult trip down the aisle

Latin America celebrated its first gay wedding last week, but it was a long and difficult journey for Alejandro Freyre and Jose Maria Di Bello to marry.

After being issued a marriage license, the Argentinian couple, who are both HIV positive, were to be married on December 1st, World AIDS Day. But in a last minute decision, the Mayor of Buenos Aires announced their marriage would not be recognized, sparking a battle between equal rights and old world attitudes.

In the end, love won the day, when the couple was granted a special Governor's decree and tied the knot on Dec 28. Gay marriage remains illegal in pro-Catholic Argentina, but the tide is turning, thanks to Alejandro, Jose and their supporters. Watch as the couple makes a passionate case for why their love is lasting, legitimate, and should be legal.
